　　Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The title of my speech today is "Crossing the Sea" . An English  poet by the name of Rudyard Kipling once wrote in this poem "We and They" :

　　All the people like us are We

　　and everyone else is They

　　We live over the sea

　　While They live over the way

　　We eat pork and beef with cow horn-handled knives

　　They who gobble their rice off a leaf

　　Are horr

　　when the first atomic bomb was dropped on hiroshima, japan, the world was thrust into atomic age. meanwhile in the commence of cold war and during its long term, it had set the world into fear and panic of nuclear war many times.

　　活动目的：

　　为增强院英语学习氛围，提高同学们英语学习兴趣，也为给广大同学提供一个展示才华、展现自我的平台，拟于明年三月份举办职医第四届英语演讲比赛。

　　活动时间：XX年3月份

　　活动地点：j3-101

　　比赛方式：初赛、复赛、决赛

　　承办单位：english show

　　参加对象：河南卫生职工学院全院学生

　　具体流程：

　　一、赛前准备

　　1、准备策划，向团委申办活动。

　　2、向多媒体管理中心申请教室。

　　3、张贴宣传海报或组织各班学习委员对赛事做好前期宣传。

　　4、邀请院学生处、院团委老师作为嘉宾（或评委）。

　　5、邀请英语教研室老师做评委。

　　6、采集参赛选手信息并制作ppt课件。

　　二、比赛环节

　　1、初赛

　　比赛时间：3月1、2日

　　比赛地点：j3-101

　　比赛评委：english show 10级负责人、院学生会社团部代表、院学生会学习部代表、院各社团社长代表

　　比赛规则：采用取平均分法从所有参赛选手中选取25人进入复赛

　　2、            复赛

　　比赛时间：3月8日

　　比赛地点：j3-101

　　比赛评委：e

　　演讲者：第11届“21世纪·澳门之星杯”全国英语演讲比赛冠军曹丰

　　本文曾获得北京电视台、国家教育部举办的 My teacher 英语演讲比赛优胜奖。在以“我的老师”为主题的演讲会上，这篇演讲出人意料地将计算机称作自己的老师，以吸引听众的注意。然后又用事实与推理证明计算机确实是一个“老师”，从而赢得了听众的共鸣。某些语言上的不足之处点评修改如下：

　　(1)在every后，territory用复数，显然是错误的。另外，表示“各个领域”，用field为好。

　　(2)原文时态用错了。

　　(3)concept是可数名词。make后的宾语补语如果是不定式的话，要省略to。另外，一般不用被动不定式，而只用过去分词。deeply也有中国式英语之嫌。

　　(4)help sb. (to)do，不用 doing。
